About this Recipe

This Garlic Butter Oven Baked Salmon is so tasty, and you would never know it only takes 30 minutes to make!

I stumbled upon a version of this recipe years ago - so long ago that I can't even remember where I found it!

And since then, I've been making small changes until I can confidently say it is the best salmon recipe you'll find!

What I love most about this recipe is that it has so much wonderful flavor, but it doesn't take long to make.

That is especially helpful when you've had a long day and are looking for a tasty salmon dish that is easy to make and that you can have ready in less than an hour.

How to Enjoy

I love pairing this salmon with crispy pan-fried sweet potatoes with a sweet molasses drizzle.

You could serve other sides such as creamy mashed potatoes or traditional homestyle French fries for extra comfort to your meal!

Recipe Tips

# 1 - I like to make little boats out of tin foil to place the salmon filets in while cooking to reduce mess while cleaning up!

# 2 - The USDA recommends cooking seafood to an internal temperature of 145°F. Keep a kitchen thermometer handy to make sure your salmon filets are fully cooked and ready to enjoy!

The Ingredients

The Process

  1. Preheat oven to 475 and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Lay salmon onto foil, skin-side down, and crimp edges of foil around filets to make little boats.
  2. Combine melted butter and minced garlic, brushing over filets. Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over salmon.
  3. Bake for 15 - 22 minutes, or until desired doneness, basting salmon with juices halfway through.
  4. Remove salmon from oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
