The Process
- Preheat oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay chicken breasts on sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Cook for 45 minutes, or until reaching 165 degrees.
- While chicken is cooking, combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl, whisking until combined. Add butter and milk and mix until dough forms, then knead until smooth
- Put a large pot over medium high heat, add broth and all seasoning and bring to a boil.
- Roll dough to desired thickness, careful not to leave too thick or it won’t cook evenly. Cut into squares, and drop into broth a few at a time.
- Shred chicken and add to pot. Cook for 20 - 30 minutes, until dumplings are cooked through.
